A Neverwinter Nights persistent world I managed during 2 years with another NWN scripter.
Players embodied shipwrecked characters on a lost island. They had to craft weapons, prevent the endless monsters expansion and explore the island and his dungeons.

The mod offered a "realistic" crafting system : you cut wood and make sticks, use these sticks to make a pick-axe, use it to cut ore, make ingots, make an iron sword, and so on. Furthermore, players have to eat and drink in order to survive.
I built over 100 maps with various environments (main town, outdoors, dungeons, caves...).
I designed and developed a custom monster spawning system with dynamic spawn positions and probability. See image for more informations.
Players could spoke in different languages (elfic, dwarf, draconic...) and could be understood only by those who spoke that language.
